Updated on Sept. 19th, 2010

Sept. 19th, 2010 The British and Irish Junior Mountain running Championship took place on Sunday 19th of September with competitors from Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales taking part in misty/rainy conditions.
All races started at the Education Centre beside upper lake in Glendulough and followed the same trail looping up Camaderry with younger runners having earlier turnaround points. The under 14 races turned where the grass path up the Camaderry ridge begins. The U16 girls turned at a point where there is a mature tree on either side of the path. The U16B/U18G turned at the second Wicklow Mountain Park sign. The U18 boys turned where an old fence crosses the race route.

Under 14: 3.5 km / 135m ascent.
Under 16 girls: 4.7 km / 234m ascent.
Under 16 boys / Under 18 girls: 5.6 km / 314m ascent.
Under 18 boys: 6.7 km / 338m ascent.

The above race images have been broken into galleries covering the there races :

1. Under 14's race - 10 images only here.

2. Under 16's race here.

3. Under 14's race here.

We took around 1,000 shots on Sunday for the three races so if don't see yourself in one of the galleries or there's a shot with you half hidden behind someone else mail us with the file name, (on the bottom left of each image), and we'll see what other shots we have. Unfortunately I missed the start of the under 14's race so all images form that race are in the gallery.
